Our Journey at JK Building Materials
The company was originally set up to produce STEEL house frames and trusses to service the architects, engineers and builders in Victoria. Steel was chosen because it is both termite proof and has the strength to resist the monsoons and the cyclones.
JK Building Materials has its own manufacturing facilities in the Dandenong South factory encompassing computerised roll forming machinery to produce the range of TUFFRAME AND TUFFRUF products. The Dandenong South factory has two roll formers for manufacturing frames and trusses, and one double roll former to roll corrugated and trimdeck profile roofing materials.
MODU KITS also specializes in the fabrication of structural steel for residential, commercial and industrial projects
We supply and install structural steel and light gauge steel frames for all our prefabricated modulars. We have also built complete houses in Victoria using its TUFF range of products.
When building a prefabricated structure where flexibility and space saving is crucial, there is no better framing option than light gauge steel (LGS). LHS is light weight, easy to manipulate, strong and fabricated fast. Modular made from LGS are around half of a tiny home made from wood. And what it lacks in weight, it makes up for durability.
